Tame Impala American Airlines Center Concert reviews
No Shoes Nation Tour
What a tremendous show this was. My wife, a huge Tame Impala fan, received this as a gift, so I was merely along for the journey and didn't anticipate what awaited me. We were hoping to get into Arrowhead before the storms hit, watching the clouds, and miraculously, we did. Due to a severe t-storm rolling in with 60+mph winds, heavy rain, hail, and dangerously close lightning, the concert was postponed by an hour. Arrowhead's staff prioritized the safety of the concert-goers, and it was evident. Kacey Musgrave was the opening act, delivering a stellar performance in the rain, which was starting to ease up. Although she cut her set short to catch up on the schedule, she did an exceptional job. Eli Young band followed with a brief set, honoring veterans and their families and performing some of their popular hits. The highlight was Eric Church, who energized the crowd and interacted with them brilliantly. His rendition of "These Boots" had everyone holding up their cowboy boots and singing along. He even autographed some fans' boots, including an infant's, after the song. His ability to engage the audience was truly impressive. Next up was Tame Impala, who didn't disappoint despite his years in the industry. The audience enthusiastically sang along to many of his classic songs. The moment he brought a young girl on stage at the end and placed a KC Chiefs helmet on her was incredibly moving. This concert will be etched in my memory forever, and I'm certain the young girl will cherish that moment. Overall, this was one of the finest concerts I've attended. I extend my gratitude to the Hunt family, Arrowhead Stadium, all crew and band members, and concession staff for a flawless experience. Thank you for the unforgettable show.
